Induction Water Treatment: Non-Invasive Descaling for Operating Plant Pipes

Induction water treatment should be selected from pipe diameter, hardness, temperature and installation constraints; a non-invasive coil does not remove dissolved hardness or replace filtration.

Assuming Chemical Hardness Removal

External induction coils alter calcium-carbonate crystal morphology physically. Calcium and magnesium remain in solution. Specify RLC softeners if residual limits apply.

What pipe sizes can the induction processor cover?

YONGFAN documents standard and custom coil configurations from DN15 to DN700.

What is the maximum stated hardness?

The supplier application boundary is ≤2,000 mg/L total hardness as CaCO₃ (compared to <700 mg/L for JFGP).

Does installation require cutting or draining the pipe?

No. Coils wrap around the outside of existing pipes without interrupting plant operation or draining fluid loops.

Does it remove calcium and magnesium ions?

No. It is physical conditioning that alters scale crystal bonding. Use Water Softeners (RLC) when measured chemical hardness removal is required.

What is the maximum water temperature?

The documented operating limit is <120 °C.

Can it be installed on insulated or buried pipes?

Yes, provided the pipe surface is locally accessible for coil wrapping (remove insulation locally and reinstate over coils; chamber required for buried pipe).
